Would banning CD keys of spammers work?

[:1]Can a CD key work with another CD? That is- another copy of diablo 2 which it didn't come with. Say if you and your friend each bought a copy, could he use your CD key to install it and you use his CD key to install yours? My friend was telling me he installed his copy of starcraft once and when he went to battlenet, he was told that his CD key was already in use! The one that came with his copy of Starcraft!
Also, what about setting a password for your game- and putting the password in the game information. I did this twice, though I didn't play for long in either game, so I'm wondering if spam bots have a way around it.
Otherwise if it would work I'm all for it, if the password solution I mentioned works there would be no need, however.
Also, I could use camstudio or some recording program take a recording of all the spammers that pop into my games- in order to tell Blizzard- to ban them|||

CD-Keys can work with all CD's as long as they correspond with each other (i.e. Diablo II: Lord of Destruction CD-Key [with] Diablo II: Lord of Destruction CD). Are you talking about putting the password in the Password section and the Description section as well? As far as I know, spam bots will not guess your game name and password. As long as the recording program you're using doesn't interact with or modify your Diablo II Gameplay Interface, you won't get banned. But that's besides the point. Blizzard probably won't capitalize on this whole Spam Botting situation.
