is this because im the only player in the game?
he should drop goods even if im one...
plz help|||The more MF you have, the higher the chance MAGIC items will be found. It doesn't increase the actual quality of the items, just increases the chance of finding something magic. Lower your MF a bit and use better gear for killing so it evens it out a bit more. I don't think anyone needs really above 250 MF at most.|||It doesn't increase the "quality" of the items. Quality, meaning normal, exceptional, or elite. More MF will always mean more uniques, more sets, more rares, and more magicals. You will see diminishing returns on all but the increase in magical items though.
Killing speed, like you said though, is important. If you're giving up too much killing speed for MF, or too much MF for killing speed, then you're doinitrong. But more than 250 MF is definitely doable without sacrificing a lot of killing speed.|||What exactly does +MF do?
- Basically, Magic Find makes more of the items that drop be magical or better (Rare/Set/Unique). If you have 100% +MF, if an item dropped normally had a 10% chance to be magical, it will now have a 20% chance. You won't get more items dropping, but the ones that do drop will be better items. More players in a game = more item drops, so you want to try and combine the +MF with a big MP game for the best results.
For a hypothetical example, say normally out of 100 item drops, you would get 20 magic, 2 rare, 2 set, and 1 unique. With 100% +MF you'd expect 40 magic, 4 Rare, 4 Set, and 2 Uniques. It's never exactly like this, but that's about how much it should increase.
Since Magic Find has diminishing returns, is 110% the best?
- No, the more MF you have the better, always, in terms of getting higher quality items. 1000% will find more Uniques, over time, than 900%, and far far more than 300% or 200%. The balance comes in how long it takes you. If you can do an item finding run in 10 minutes with 1000% MF, and the same run in 3 minutes with 500% MF, it's probably better to go faster, since you could do the same run 3x, which would be better odds for good equipment over all.

And I always got @#!%ty items. Liek tal rasha ammy was a nice thing.
now I run with under 200%mf but I run for keys and I run in ilvl85 area (pit, museaum, chaos sanct, worldstone etc).
And after about a month 've found all by myself in solow games
4x gheed (2 of them turned into 36% and 38%MF ones
Vex 2x ist, um,pul, mal (I,m not conting hell forges)
38% ED / 15%ias jewel
afew 37% ED jewels
and various none magical item that I used soket quest to turn them into item that worth pul or +
magic %!*% just suk and its mostly cuz set and unci item suk (very few unic worth High runes)
Poeple want runes, charms, jewels and some rare soket item. These tiems worth high runes and these items aren,t based around any %MF.
The best thing I did in my D2 life wa to trow away MF tog et bether items and start running ilvl85 zones.
Doing mephysto you'r never going to find any item that worth HR (well I never got any after thousands of mephy kill back in the days).|||

Yes mf is overrated now. No you should not stop doing meph not for meph so much himself (he can drop hrs rarely) but for the chest behind him (drops hrs even more often than meph). Your best bet is to ditch tals for spirit sheild eschuta griffs n such build a lite sorc and kill your rune bosses: meph+chest andy walkdiablo arcanechests+summone
