About Slow.

Ok say you're a necro with decrep, a maxed golem, a level 80 NM Act 2 Holy Freeze merc, using a Kelpie Snare on a boss... Does all that slowing stack? I just found the kerpie and wondering if I should make the switch. At the moment I'm really enjoying being able to sit back with the golem slowing baal so my minions just kill him. I tab out and check emails and whatnot. But that's NM Baal, still working on act3 hell heh. I have a feeling Hell Baal will be a little more difficult so wondering if I can stack all those slows and have the same if not more safety.
Also. Does slowing work on the diablo clone guy that pops out from the SoJ sales?
What about Ubers, does Slow work on them too?|||Not that it makes a huge difference, but bone, poison or summoner?
They do all stack, but it's capped at a certain level. I think bosses and other Unique monsters are capped at 85% with the effect. Hell Baal can usually be pacified just with a decent golem and decrep (and a horde of minions to make sure his attacks get interrupted). I've found that Diablo seems to be able to get more attacks in spite of the slow effect.
Finally, you may want to keep the Kelpie Snare and try out another aura Mercenary, seeing as with the Snare you'd have excellent crippling capability. Or keep your merc and stash or sell the snare.|||Summoner.
And hmm alright so guess golem/decrep is all I need then.|||Diablo Wiki:
Slow is a modifier that affects a player's movement and attack speed by significantly slowing it. This effect can happen due to Cold attacks, Holy Freeze Aura, Decrepify Curse, Clay Golem's slowing attack, items with "Slows Target By X%" and Cold Skills. Even monsters that are immune to Cold can be slowed.

Especially slowing has two main type:
One main type of slow effect is the non-elemental slowing. It works as a simple "speed debuff". Some unique, and set item has the "Slows Target By X% mod and there are skills with this effect like Decrepify, Holy Freeze and Clay Golem's attack. Notable that Holy Freeze's slow is not a simple cold and cannot be resisted with items with the "Cannot Be Frozen" mod and Cold Immune monsters are affected by it as any other monster, only the periodic (and very low) cold damage will be resisted. Items and skills using this effect stacks with a cap about 85%.
The other main type is when Cold damage cause the slow effect. It can be resisted by items with the "Cannot Be Frozen" mod. Every cold damage have one type of this effect. It is notable, that there is two type of cold slowing. The first is the more common "cold" the other is the more powerful "Freeze". Freeze on Act Bosses, Super Unique Monsters Unique Monsters and Player Characters will work only as cold slowing.
