Blizard why do bots ruin my games ?

So I make a game in hell difficulty, and immediately my screen gets full with messages telling me to waste precious money on useless items. Why do I have to be tormented like this ? Why doesnt Blizard do anything ?
I think blizard should hire 1 guy to stay for 1 month on the realms, just making public games in the night, and whenever a bot comes along, instant ban to his cd-key ! Is that so hard ?
edit: after posting it, i joined a channel on battle net. there, another bot also is spamming me ! This is pretty shamefull !
|||ill take that job and do it for free im sick of not being able to play because of constant spam|||These all have been posted before, but in restating them I still agree that spambots are an abomination and a real stain on Blizzard. Having said that, I avoid them like this:
Option 1: Make a private game. Spambots cannot (or do not try to) hack your game password, so even if you make it one character, that should suffice. Success: 10 out of 10 spambots eliminated
Option 2: Place level restrictions on a game you create, or join games with level restrictions. The higher the level required to join the game, the higher success ratio will be achieved in filtering spambots. Success: 9 out of 10 spambots eliminated
Option 3: Use the friends options feature "/o igw" to ignore whispers from accounts that are not on your friends list. This should eliminate all spambots messaging you from outside your game, but keep in mind that if you don't join chat, they won't flag you as a recipient for spam in the first place. Success: 10 out of 10 non-friend whispers eliminated.
Option 4: Use the 'N' key to clear the screen of item sellers' fecal matter. It works wonderfully if you want to see your screen again. Success: 10 out of 10 on-screen messages cleared (every time you press 'N')
Option 5: Never buy an item from an item site, and frown disgustingly on anyone who does because they are the reason the item shops thrive and multiply and s-p-a-m. Who knows? Maybe Blizzard doesn't do anything about the problem because it's giving people what they want (and deserve, if that's the way they want to roll, just shelling out a few chits to get godly itamz). It's lame, lame, lame. There are a lot of really lame people who think they're cool, and have made the problem what it is today. Success: 0 out of 10 spambots eliminated because the it seems the majority of players are truly apathetic about the quality of the game for everyone else, and live by the credo, "me and mine."

You should NOT! have to do any of this to enjoy your game. Blizzard should be cowering in shame for what they have let happen on their own network. It sounds to me like you work for the spammers and are trying to give options for us so you can continue spamming and feel good about yourself.
I have personally reported as many as possible to their hosts for spam and everyone else that gets annoyed by them should too.|||

In reality, the bots should get banned. Here's a relatively short list of what terms they've violated:

Q u o t e:
(v) use of any third-party software to modify Battle.net to change gameplay, including, but not limited to, cheats and/or hacks;
(viii) harass, threaten, stalk, embarrass, or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort upon another user of Battle.net or other person or entity; cheat during gameplay, including but not limited to modification of the game program files;
(xii) disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in a chat room or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users, individuals, or entities, including but not limited to, posting "Spam" messages on Battle.net. "Spam" messages as used herein include, but are not limited to any effort to use a computer or other electronic device to post unauthorized and/or unsolicited advertisement to Battle.net;
(xiii) post or transmit chain letters, "cashbots," or pyramid schemes; post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation to other users, individuals, or entities on Battle.net;
(xvi) "spam" by posting or sending more than one unsolicited message or piece of mail to a single address or in a chat area;
(xvii) create or maintain, under any circumstance, more than one simultaneous connection to Battle.net. All such connections to Battle.net, whether created by Blizzard software products or by other tools and utilities, may only be made through methods and means expressly approved by Blizzard Entertainment. Under no circumstances may you connect or create tools that allow you to connect to Battle.net's private binary interface or interfaces other than those explicitly provided by Blizzard Entertainment for public use;

Those were taken straight out of the Battle.net Terms of Use that every user agrees upon prior to getting access to Blizzard Entertainment's online interface, Battle.net.
The only problem is that no Blizzard employee or trusted individual will spend time to track down the, "Spam Bots". I've seen other posts of people that have been keeping lists of accounts that spam, but Blizzard will most likely want a trusted individual to attain a list of users who've violated the Terms of Use. There are most likely hundreds of characters/accounts/CD-Keys that are involved in the spamming. Let alone just for the USWest Realm.
And they weirdest thing of all... Some people think that BLIZZARD is the owner of all of the websites that sell items. They think that Blizzard just makes those items, and sells them to us. They think that Blizzard is just making a fortune off of the people who buy things from the websites. They think that Blizzard is responsible. Maybe that's why no one from Blizzard has really capitalized on this whole bot situation.
Either way, it would be nice if someone devoted their time to get rid of those darned bots.
~Hazzar|||what slayerking meant was thank you for the wonderful info..... even if he cant say so|||

ill take that job and do it for free im sick of not being able to play because of constant spam

LOL!
I really hope you get the job!
But I don't think it will happen since it appears that Blizzard doesn't want even to loose a single second reading this forums....
We lost their respect, even doing the only think we can do for than, which is pay for their games!!!!!|||

I agree with you.
Why I should have ALL this pain to play a game I payed????
If I need to have pain for playing the game, I would prefer to have a bullet in my leg and bleed almost dead instead of reading another single spam!
Seriously, if we have to have some countermeasure, or use it to be able to play better, with relative peace in our minds, than implement the dawn captcha system. It will not solve the problem, but will at least minimize more than those measures.

i would to it free too. but what im doing my self is im filling a file up with screen shots of in chat and in game with spam bot messages and im going to send them in to blizzard "Atavision"
but what i really think it comes down to is that Atacision does not care about the ad bots at all. i never had good customer service with Atavision in the past
and i have a bad feeling that all the bots are going to poor into D3 and Atavision is going to be like so what we dont care. the only way i think we could get this big Corp to do something about the bots if we all tell them if you do not do anything about the bots we will boycott there software. and seeing WOW is Atavision cash cow if and large number of ppl start to boycott them there income will go down. then they will want to do something about the bots.
