Q u o t e:
Do I need to have completed Diablo II and have a high-level character in order to play the expansion? Or is it separate and can I jump right on into LoD?

The expansion, Lord of Destruction, picks up where Diablo II left off. There were 4 Acts in the original game. LoD adds Act 5. You must complete the first 4 Acts (kill Diablo) and then talk to Tyrael. He will open a portal. When you enter, Act 5 begins and you will find yourself in Harrogath. You don't have to be high-level, but by the time you complete the first 4 Acts, you'll probably be in the neighborhood of level 24 - 40, depending on how you play.|||
