Cheers!|||From my experience, you don't get any better than Grief/Beast combo for Barb vs Caster duels. For melle duels you need to have a shield handy with max block. SS works well here. You can easily kick ass on Hell with Beast/Grief but because of the rapid attack speed given by Beast's Fanaticism aura, repairing bills can be quite annoying. So for PvM, Ebotd/Ebotd may be better. But if repairing your gear frequently isn't a problem nothing beats Beast and Grief.|||Ebotd Great Poleaxe is great fun.

i think it's necessary to point out that breath of the dying sucks compared to grief, so i wouldn't bother considering it
grief is simply the better choice, both in pvp and pvm
ebotd tricks some people into thinking it's good for pvm due to its dual leech and weapon type variety, but it's all a sham. grief does more damage, and has harder to get mods on it
what does botd have?
dual leech? most decent setups already give you enough leech as it is (especially if you use decent rare rings)
indestructible? if that's such a perk, just use a phase blade grief, which does better average damage than any one handed ebotd would anyway
more range? superfluous and overrated. range doesn't really matter as much as some people would believe
60% ias? grief can already hit the best ww breakpoint, so who cares? the difference for zerking between the two is negligible, at best
meanwhile, grief has:
more damage than ebotd (ignoring two handed weapons here because they're crappy and this is a discussion about one handed choices for a barbarian using ww + zerk...)
ignore target defense, which is a lot of fun in pvm, because with it you'll almost never (95% being the cap for chance to hit) miss non-boss, champion, or superunique enemies.. most enemies in pvm are fair game for itd, so it's a huge benefit not having to worry about AR
20% to deadly strike, which again, only helps it to outperform botd in the damage department and at the same time in itself is a hard to obtain, much sought after modifier. if someone thinks that barbs don't need a lot of DS because of the mastery crit chance, they are wrong. DS and the mastery crit chances do not simply stack, but they do work together in a way that requires you to have a good amount of both to get the most crits
long story short, grief + beast or maybe grief/grief, imo

To be quite honest,
For BvM (barb vs monster) I always use EBOTDZ
The main reason for this.
Barb's are constantly using there weapons, to attack, with that said, there durability,
deteriorates very quickly...
The fact that EBOTDZ is indestructible prevents you from having to spend all your gold, repairing
every 5 games.
Now, choosing your EBOTDZ it doesnt matter on the damage, espcially if your
inventory is filled with max/ar/life scs/gcs, because the amount of damage that is produced
by EBOTDZ with a correctly skilled barbarian, is more than enough damage to kill/slaughter
any monster in game.

With this particular setup I never die, and I can easily easy any monster in a full game, without any
complications. I have max resistant in hell as well.
