How to: High resolution?

How can I change the windowed mode to play in 1920x1080? I've seen some screenshots of people playing in 1440xsomething in widescreen modes and the area of sight is much much bigger. Current I can only have the game in windowed mode, maximized and still have it as if it was 800x600 with my character five inches tall and the normal 800x600 sight range.|||

Diablo II's highest resolution is 800 x 600. If you wish to continue playing in windowed mode and want to drag the window to fill the screen (or maximize) then leave the -w parameter and add -nofixaspect. Be aware that you will not see more of an area while in-game. It will just stretch what's already there to fill the screen. You may not want to do this as it will not keep the original aspect ratio, causing the entire game to look out of proportion.

If you prefer to play the game fullscreen and not in windowed mode you will need to remove the -w parameter in the command line for running the game.|||the only way to have diablo 2 fill the screen is if your display can show 800x600 on its own. many widescreen monitors dont support 800x600 but i have a widescreen tv that does display 800x600.
