Synergy Inquiry (Official Blizz Rep Required)

[:1]My Question:
The barbarian skill Concentrate receives a "+1% Magic Damage Per Level" synergy from Berserk.
Does this synergy...
A) follow in mechanics of Berserk (which converts all of your physical damage to magic), i.e. CONVERTING a portion of your Concentrate damage into magic damage?
or
B) simply ADD magic damage equal to a percentage of your Concentrate damage on top of your total physical damage from Concentrate?

To clarify what I am asking:
Let's assume you attack with Concentrate with a confirmed hit, and your damage is 1000.
Does the final damage with a level 10 synergy (+10% magic dmg per level), equal...
Situation A: 900 Physical + 100 Magic (10% of physical dmg converted to magic)
or
Situation B: 1000 Physical + 100 Magic (10% magic dmg added to total physical dmg from Concentrate)

I have searched all over the internet for an answer to this question and I have only found unreliable, untested, and most likely ignorant responses on other forums. So, please, no more of those. I would prefer a response from a Blizzard Rep with intimate knowledge of the underlying game mechanics, or access to someone who does, if possible. Thanks.|||

God, I love it when people say stuff like this. Don't hold your breath, not only will someone from Blizzard NOT respond to this post, but I doubt they have any understanding of the game mechanics at this point since Diablo 2 and it's problems are highly ignored by Blizzard. Diablo 2 has been put on the back-burner. Actually, more accurately, it has been stuffed in the darkest corner of the attic. Don't loose faith in community members though. There are still good players out there who can assist you and have a wide knowledge of game mechanics.
And the answer to your question is situation B. Damage is not converted, it's added. I'm surprised no one could give you a clear answer on this elsewhere.|||you could have tested this out ingame.
Respec, or create a high lvl character in hero editor.
Max concentrate, dont put points in berserk.
Pick up a weapon and remember your damage.
Now max berserk and look at damage.|||It's A): if Concentrate applies 1,000 physical damage before investing 10 points in Berserk, then it will apply 900 physical damage and 100 magic damage after investing 10 points in Berserk (90% physical, 10% magic).
The character screen is notoriously inaccurate (hence the frequent use of the acronym LCS - Lying Character Screen), but so are some skill descriptions. Concentrate and Frenzy may list "Berserk: +1% Magic Damage per Level" as a synergy, but when you actually test the damage applied to a target this proves not to be the case: magic damage is not added, instead physical damage is converted to magic damage (like Berserk, funnily enough).
If you don't want to take my word for it, you'll have to test it yourself. Even in the highly unlikely event that you get a response from an actual Blizzard employee, these are the people responsible for the character screen and skill description inaccuracies, or informed by the people who were.

In this particular case the character screen is accurate (investing points in Berserk doesn't result in displayed damage increasing) but due to its numerous inaccuracies it's never safe to consider what it displays as conclusive proof.|||I stand corrected, it's in fact A)!
Adding points to Berserk does not increase Concentration damage. This whole synergies' description is wrong all over. It should read "converts (1-20)%" and not "adds +(1-20)%".|||Onderduiker is never wrong. You just blew my mind... o.O;;
The description is very misleading. It should say "converts x% damage to magic damage".|||

Most of the time, a Blizzard Employee/Representative will not respond to posts within the Diablo II sub-forum. It's most commonly known as a low-priority category hence the scarcity of blue letters :P. But I'm glad you found your answer.
