"cannot find the player''

One of my old characters (a level 94 paladin hammer) has login problems... I mean he is on the account but I cant log in at all, it says 'cannot find the player', all other characters are alright, is there a way to fix this issue?|||

Is this character marked as "expired"?|||yes|||IF i cant get the character back it kinda sucks, he had best possible gear for a hammer paladin.... the rest of my characters that were marked as expired could join the game with no problem..............|||Well then your paly is gone forever.
Reason: when a character is set to "expired" he is not deleted but his name is up for grabs again. When you click on him BEFORE somebody creates a new char with the very same name you can recover your expired character.
Now when someone on your realm creates a new character with the very same name while your character is still marked as "expired", your character data is deleted from the server. You can still see his icon in your account but you'll get that "cannot find player" messages when you try to access him.
Character names are unique and another player has claimed your character's name and b.net assigned it to him since there was no active character with that name. There is nothing left you can do. A character with the name of your old paly now belongs to someone else.|||I'm assuming the "expired" label is from the not-logging-in-for-90-days-thing
