My question is how people have so many good items. Is there a certain class that allows more success in hell and finding better items? Right now I have a lvl 85 Bowazon. Shes the best character I've ever had but still she fails to even compare with many of the players that I encounter. So to sum things up is there any technique to becoming really geared or is it just luck.|||Luck definitely plays a part. Items with +Magic Find help, but the challenge is putting as much as you can on without gimping your survivability or damage.
There is also the patience needed to trade the items you find for the items you need. Best bet here is posting your items on http://diablo.incgam
If you want a character that's easy to farm with, you can't go wrong with hammerdin pallies. Concentration aura can easily put its damage over 10k with the right gear, and you can keep 300-400 magic find without killing your stats. Keep in mind, in Hell, you absolutely want to keep 75 in your resists, or very close. Search around for good builds and go nuts.|||I just started to play again in season 8 ladder. From my experience best first char to play is Sorceress cause she can teleport around and get many mf items very fast and very cheap. My favourite was always a lightning tree but i think fire or cold is a good way to go too.
So first what you do is of course lvl up and then start to mf. Main thing is to know value of certain items cause you can find a lot just laying around waiting for pickup. First thing I found was a 7 mf small charm on a baal run which i sold for Pul rune which got me The Occulus a great weapon with res mf 3 skill and so on. Next thing I did when I was around 75 I went for couple Mephisto runs and I thing I got very lucky cause I got Waterwalk boots with 65 life which I sold for Ist rune. For Ist I bought Tal Armor (Mal), Tal Amulet (Um) and Tal Belt (Lem or lower) (3 pieces of Tal set gives you extra 65 mf), Spirit shield (Pul for plain Monarch Shield, runes are ready to get) and Shako.
From then you just continue to run Mephisto and when you can afford Fortitude and Infinity for your merc you can run all bosses for mf.
In the previous season I got a Grand Charm 1 elemental skill and 45 life from Baal which gave me 15 Ber runes :) but that was after a month of mf runs.

|||Is very easy. Just know what is worthy to pick up and keep. For example, you find a simple mage plate with no sockets. Just put it in the cube with tal thul runes and a perfect topaz, and if it gets 3 sockets you sell it for 1hr. Many more examples like this.
Once you get a bit more rich, you can switch to crafting or making cool runewords from scratch for even more profit.

Where are you setting your bar in regards to success? Killing Baal in Hell Difficulty? PvP? UberTristram?
I have lost interest in being what others regard as "good," so you'll have to refresh my memory. My favorite Bowazon had trash for gear, but she was hellishly fun to play. An upgraded Goldstrike Arch, Angelics armor, rings and amulet. Tal Rasha's helm, Sig's Gloves, Belt and Boots. I tanked out her Valkyrie and liked spamming Slow Missiles. I still have her items on a mule because I recycled her name for subsequent ladders.|||

There's only a few things you need in order to get "rich":
- • Have a caster character with lots of FCR% and MF%.
• Constantly kill the following bosses in Hell Difficulty: The Countess, Andariel, The Summoner, Duriel, The High Council, Mephisto, Diablo, Pindleskin, Nihlathak, and Baal.
• Collect Uniques, Rares, Sets, Magics, and White items to sell to other players in return for High Runes or gear that you need to equip other characters of yours with.
